Why there arent viruses for mac ?

Many MAC "haters" always love to claim that there are no viruses for Macs because there are less users for Mac compared to Windows machines. I personally believed that. I was just exploring the apple website other day to see the sneak peek of apple's new operating systemLeopard which is due to come this June. Apple claims it to be the "world's most advanced operationg system" and the website also have this Mac vs PC ad about security which is kinda funny..at that moment it striked me instantly why arent they any viruses for MAC? is "less users" the only reason. As always I've opened my" good not so old" saviour google.com and found an article. It talks about why there aren't any viruses for MAC. However the article keeps badmouthing Microsoft but makes a good point here

The difference isn't market share, it's the foundation of the operating systems. Given that most virus authors and hackers are in it for the ego, don't you think that there would be a huge incentive to be the first one to write a widespread OS X, Linux, or FreeBSD virus?" Paul Venezia asked.

Read the complete MAC OS insecurites and Myths Its a small article should'nt take much of your time.
