Here is a summary of the major/most often mentioned strength & weaknesses from the reviews listed in the "MapYourBuddiesReviewed" Status as of Wednesday (02/21/07) 11:00am post.
Strength:
- 3. Showing the buddy's picture inside the info window is very nice. / I like that you are able to display photos in the call out box (Chidambaram, Jeff)
- I think the idea of MapYourBuddies is really cool. I've always wanted to have an idea of where friends are at, so it's really neat. (Rosie)
- 1. Your project idea and the API you have chosen are pretty unique, stands out from what most of them are doing. (Praneeth)

Weaknesses:
- showing only one friend per location / Scrolling through multiple images of friends from the same geographical area (Ratna, Chidambaram, Rosie)
- It says welcome[user.name]. I think it would be great if it displays username. (Rajesh, Ratna, Joy)
- And in the page it is showing login instead of logout. / There is no logout button. (Ratna, Praneeth, Rajesh, Joy)
- You may want to have a welcome page to clearly indicate to the user about the page they are on (Chidambaram)
- Help button displays a page not found error (Chidambaram)
- I believe, clicking the home link should redisplay the page, if the user is logged in already instead of displaying the login to facebook page again. (Chidambaram)
- Ability for the user to filter the number of friends you retireve from facebook....based on some criteria ...say for example, only my college friends or only my work friends etc (Chidambaram)
- When the bubble pops up, you have to click the marker again to get the whole picture. (Rosie)
- why not put the instructions on the site itself / initial page that is presented to visitors contain information about your web application so that visitors know what to expect if they do login (Mike, Jeff)
- it would be great if we have a search box where we can type in the name and point out on map. (Rajesh)
- It'd be cool if you added email or instant messenger links to the page so the visitor could quickly contact their friends. (Jeff)
