Hi, here we go with my review for iteration 3 of the ISA mashup. The review is based on this link. Strengths: Your project really adds value to the existing ISA site. Especially for new students it is very helpful to see where they have to go to get the drivers license. Even more important they will find enough restaurant not to starve :) The integration of the different APIs works flawless! Weaknesses: - page size is to wide! - layout is on the first look a little confusing - it was hard to find the mashup on the ISA site! - André

Hi, this is my review for iteration 3 of the Virtual India (AJACS) project. The project can be found here Strengths: Compared to the last iteration you have added additional tourist sites, which gives the user more information on India. I also like the integration of the weather API! It totally makes sense to offer weather information in your "tourism related" project. The integration of the differen APIs works flawless. Good job! Weaknesses: To be honest I think you should have found another solution for displaying the pictures. Using the Google InfoWindow is in my opinion not very convenient for the user and affects the Look&Feel of the website. André

Hi all, this is my review for iteration 3 of the Hack n' Mash project. I used this link for my review. Strengths: I am really amazed to see how the project developed from iteration 2 to iteration 3. The is intuitive to use and the different API are nicely integrated. Finally I see where the data mashup comes into play :) I think it really adds value to the PWP website and the audience will be happy about the new features! Weaknesses The layout of your mashup and the PWP is still too different. Good job André

Hello, here is my review for Chidambaram's individual mini project. The review refers to the application, which can be found here and the presentation here Strengths: Chidambaram's project uses the Yahoo News API to retrieve news from the web according to a previously specified search term. You can also specifiy if the list of search results should be cleared for every new search, or if the new results should be appended to the end of the existing list. I like this feature because you do not loose previous results. So you can perform several different searches and then dig through all the different results....very convenient! - André

Hi all, here you can read my review for Joern's individual mini project. This review is based on this link: F1 Tracks and News Strengths: I think Joern's project does not need any further praise, it could easily pass as a full team project :) It has tons of relevant information (after all track layout and weather news decide the outcome of a race) and every F1 racing fan will love it (too bad Formula 1 is not that popular in the US). Especially the layout is, for a mini project, amazing. The whole application really reminds of the information screens you will see during the races on the sports channel. - André

Hi, this is my review for Srikanth's individual mini project. The review is based on the application that I found at this link: Book Search Presentation Strengths: Srikanth's mini project features the Safari Book Search. The application is quiet intuitive. You simply enter a search phrase in the according field and start the search by clicking the button. Seconds later the results should appear on the page. I like that the application returns all the relevant information on the books (Title, Author, ISBN and Price). Especially the ISBN is very helpful for searching other book stores and for comparing prices. - André

Hello, here is my review for Rajesh's individual mini project. The review refers to the application, which can be found here and the presentation here. Strengths: Rajesh's mini project is powered by the Indeed job search. Similar to Pranthee's job search, you simply ckick a button to get a list with available jobs. I could not figure out if there is some kind of filter for the search, only jobs for a specific field for example. After all, the results are well structured, the most important information is offered in the headline, if you want to know more you can follow the provided link. - André

Hi, this is my short review for Pranthee's individual mini project. The review is based on the following link: SAP Jobs Presentation Strengths: Pranthee's mini project uses the Yahoo Hot Jobs API. With the click of a button you will get an overview on SAP related jobs. Using job API for the mini projects seems to be pretty popular. The mini project works fine and also the layout is well structured. Also the results of the search seem to be of high quality (no ad-links and so on). Everyone who looks for a SAP realted job might be interested in this mini project (especially all students from IS650, as long as they are no Oracle fans ;)....). - André

Hi all, here you can read my review for Aparna's individual mini project. This review is based on this link: Inside India Strengths: For the scope of the mini project the website has a really nice layout. The search function is limited to the choices from the drop box, but therefore it is very easy to use :) After all Youtube provides more than enough videos for each location so the user defintely won't get bored. Inside India provides you with a great look at India through the eyes of the average camcorder tourist ;) - André

The review refers to the application, which can be found here: Blogger Tool Presentation Strengths: I am a big fan of the "Blogger-Label-Tool". Like tons of my friends I have a blogspot.com blog myself and Linda's tool would be a really nice navigation gadget. It could easily sort all of my various posts (pictures, excursions, trips, parties, random thoughts,...). Can't you build a nice little sidebar tool with the same functionality ;) - André

Here and there I had some Spam-Advertisment links in the news list, but I guess you have no influence on the data the API returns. The design and layout for the page is appropriate for the scope of the mini project. Finally the project has a pretty obvious audience, everyone in the job market who likes to pay attention to current developments and trends. - André
