For development work using Ajax, one needs good reference. I think there is that quality of reference you can get from this site. Ajax patterns
Hello Event Maps team,
congratulations on a job well done! The new user interface, looks much better than earlier. I think there are still some improvements you can make to the site. First one being, the panel blocking the map. Well it is not exactly a constraint, but still at times one might feel the inconvenience in moving around, especially when the user is looking at the map at a specific location which is covered by the panel.
I see that you guys are also facing the cross browser issues, as the other teams are. Apart that, Your site is well designed and I see that you incorporated the event link in a clever way, by using google search site. All in all, your team did an excellent job. I am looking forward to your next and final prototype.
Hello WebFinancial team,
A lot of improvement from the first iteration. I was unable to properly utilize the functionality earlier, when I reviewed for the first iteration. But now I did not encountered any issues. With the pointers on what the application does, it was quite easier, to understand what is going on. I request you to direct your efforts partially towards, developing User friendly and catchy interface. Also I think, it will be beneficial for the user if you can provide a link of the company, if he want to know a little bit more information about the company and their business. I see that you are able to resolve the cross brower issue, which is one of the critical issues that are plauging all the teams.
nice work web financial team.
Hello Kayakers,
Lot of Improvement from Iteration 1. Coming to the review: Initially when the results are displayed, at times it is showing only one pointer on the map, even though it had several results . Another thing is when I selected Rodeway Inn, Romulus -- it is pointing towards Comfort Inn Metro Airport on the map.
The other factor is when a date with month Janurary and year 2006 were selected. It displayed a message saying loading.. please wait. After that nothing happened. You need to validate the departure date (check in date) with the current date. If the departure date (check in date) is less than the current date, then you need to restrict the user and ask him to enter a valid date. The same thing applies, if the departure date is greater than the returned date.
For some reason, I was not able to use the functionality fully in IE 7.0. In Mozilla, it worked fine for me.
Good work, keep it up.
