A thank you note

Dear all,

I am not very happy to say that this is my last blog because I check our learningremix.net as frequently as I check my e-mail. I am sure you all must be feeling the same.

I would like to thank Professor Gibson for his innovative ideas like using blogs and all my team members for making our project a real sucess. I thank eventmaps team and everybody else who contributed to our project by their valuable reviews.

Congrats to everybody who completed IS 696 and good luck for your future endeavors.

Miss you,
Raji.

Agile VS SDLC

I thought I will dig a little deeper into the question professor Bud asked us yesterday-
  1. Agile vs SDLC
    1. Is "Agile" just another trend that is slowly turning into a more accepted and practiced methodology?
    2. Is this the beginning of the end for "Formal" Methodologies?
    3. When would you use Agile or Formal Methodologies?
    4. What about "hybrid" culture where Agile and Formal mix together rather than going the full on extreme path of "one or the other"?

Education ChUser : Prototype3 presentation

Eric:

The presentation looks fine to me. I think we covered all the aspects that our professor asked for. I see that  my blog posts which address the "issues addressed" and "what would we do for Iteration IV" are also included into the presentation.

You might have already thought about this but just wanted to mention. Please rename the Final Presentation blog to EducationChUser : Prototype3 Presentation and Website and also give the appropriate tags mentioned in one of the Bud's blogs.

EducationChUser: ?

Eric:

No problem ! I will make changes if there are any and upload them as soon as possible.

I wouldn't be surprised that no body responded because it looks like you uploaded the slides in the middle of the class yesterday and we all do not have access to our computers untill we get home which, in my case, was at 11:30 pm.

Thanks for letting us know about the presentation preparation. As soon as you send us the presentation , I will review it and will also add any content if needed.

Then by tomorrow night we can post the slides as well as the site in our website and notify it in the blogs.

Education ChUser: A Request

Dear Team,

Can anyone please let me know what happened in yesterday's class ?

Ravi, thanks for the class 215 summaries. I especially liked the way you summarized the ratings also.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do for the prototype3 or presentation. I just listed a few things in my previous blog for the imaginary prototype4.

Experience with formatting my blog

Dear Friends,

Did this happen to anyone else ?

Whenever I have bullets or numbering in my blog, if I cange the format to custom bold and then go back to the previous formatting, all the information I wrote next to the bullets is lost.

I couldn't get back that information even after undoing the format. This happened to me three or four times till now.

Education ChUser: Prototype3 presentation

Thanks Eric !

Here are a few things that were in my mind for a long time. If there were an Iteration 4 or more considerable amount of time, I think we would look up to the following things. Some of them are not feasible just for Iteration 4 but as our Professor says, there is nothing wrong in being more ambitious !

In the order of priority of high importance-
  1. Anything that pops up from IS215 user reviews
  2. Extend the university listing to the whole United states
  3. Provide the housing information according to each city. ( For this we have to change and add a few more things things to our database)
  4. Incorporate GRE, GMAT, LSAT cut off scores for each university.
  5. Compare our site to the competitior site and look what else we can do. ( Ravi said he will blog about it)
  6. Find a sponsorer
  7. Display advertisements
If I can think of anything else, I will blog it.
